“Coco the Virus” finally available in bookstores

First, from the Idea to the comic strip Coco the Virus

First, our cousins, Paul Marguerite de Livron, brother and sister, took on the challenge of simplifying the different stages of this health crisis. This was to make it accessible to the youngest. And this adventure gave birth to Coco the Virus

Second, Marguerite is a trained psychomotor therapist. So, she has worked for several years with children and adults with disabilities. Moreover, she is also passionate about illustration.

Third, Paul, her brother, an engineer overflowing with imagination, has challenged himself to explain to children as well as adults, various and diverse themes that are close to his heart.

Indeed, they realized that children needed information accessible to their young age about Covid 19. Because this unprecedented situation has been complicated for children to experience. Thus the comic strip has answered the following questions:

• Moreover, why was the start of the school year difficult this year ? …

Thus, thanks to Marguerite’s beautiful illustrations, Paul was able to imagine various and diverse stories to provide an entertaining explanation to the youngest.

Thus, for some sensitive subjects, the Coco the Virus teams were able to count on the collaboration of pediatricians from the CHU Pellegrin (University Hospital Center) in Bordeaux. But also from the ARS Aquitaine (Regional Health Agency) and the CPIAS NA (Support Center for the Prevention of Healthcare-Associated Infections in New Aquitaine) to explain to children the aspects that were too complex. So, the different topics covered on Covid 19 are meticulously chosen according to children’s requests and current events …

Then, to get known, nothing better than sharing with influential people, such as influencers. Then, they subsequently reshared the comic strip with their active communities. Moreover, the press and word of mouth boosted their notoriety. Then, every day, a new topic and a new story are made available to internet users via an attractive website: cocovirus.net. On the other hand, the free stories not only accompanied children throughout the lockdown, but also during the preparation for their return to school.
