LED Cube Immersion : The 3D Experience Powered by Neoscreen at ISE

One month flat for four immersive videos : a crazy challenge that required military-like organization, radical technical choices, and a few sleepless nights.

Imagine yourself at the heart of the ISE show in Barcelona, surrounded by thousands of giant screens and cutting-edge display technologies. Suddenly, an LED cube catches everyone’s eye: through its four transparent faces, a 3D scene seems to float inside, alive and in motion. Produced in 3D CGI by ROMAN3D for the Iagona Group, this project transforms a simple display medium into an immersive experience. Powered by Neoscreen , the Group’s dynamic display platform and leading brand, the four videos are perfectly synchronized in real-time on each screen.

Neoscreen : The Technology That Makes 3D Breathe

Neoscreen is at the heart of the system. This proprietary solution enables simultaneous and ultra-synchronized playback of content on the multiple faces of the LED cube, eliminating any visual lag between screens. Designed for immersive installations, it manages the specific resolutions of LED panels, adapts colorimetry in real-time, and ensures perfect fluidity โ€” ideal for a show like ISE where the public is constantly passing through.

Behind the Magic: A 100% 3D CGI Project

Four distinct videos, each shot with 4 fixed cameras (0ยฐ, 90ยฐ, 180ยฐ, 270ยฐ) around the same central 3D scene built in Blender : procedural modeling, realistic materials with reflections and transparencies, volumetric lighting, advanced physical simulations (fluids, particles, rigid bodies). This setup allows the cube’s LEDs to create a “naked-eye” illusion of depth without glasses, as if observing a model enclosed in a display case in 360ยฐ.

In Numbers

Number of videos 4 distinct videos
Cams per video 4 fixed cameras
Total deadline 1 month flat
Duration per video 30s to 1min
Target resolution Adapted for high-luminance LED (1080p+)
Simulations Fluids, particles (1M+ instances), rigid bodies
Main software Blender, After Effects for finalization

Behind the Scenes : 30 Days of Technical Battle

One month to do everything was the ultimate challenge. Here are the main obstacles, overcome under high pressure:

  • High-tension pipeline : Four videos with 4 fixed cameras each = 16 renders to synchronize. Every day counted double.
  • Explosive simulations under constraint : Fluids (waves, frost melt) and particles (petals) saturated VRAM from the first tests. Emergency cleanup scripts, OptiX switch, reduced resolutions when necessary.
  • FLIP caches in crisis : Rebake impossible (corrupted Windows caches). Manual domain-by-domain purge, substep reset, Blender 5.0 add-on adaptation โ€” all at an accelerated pace.
  • Cube continuity = geometric nightmare : Zero offset at the corners between the 4 views of each video. Repeated camera/timeline iterations until perfect alignment. Neoscreen handled multi-screen playback.
  • Express optimization : Botaniq vegetation, stones, overflowing volumetrics. 3D clipping, selective baking, simplified meshes for live previews โ€” all in one week.

The result : four videos delivered on time, perfectly synchronized for Neoscreen, ready to captivate at ISE. The deadline pressure forced creative solutions that might never have seen the light of day otherwise.

A Spectacular Showcase Born of Urgency

Standing proudly on the Neoscreen booth, the cube demonstrates what dynamic display can convey when fed by custom 3D CGI : the story of a seasonal renewal (frosted winter โ†’ spring bloom) within a hypnotic cube. Perfect for showrooms, public spaces, or professional trade shows.

For ROMAN3D, it’s proof that the impossible can be delivered : four immersive 3D experiences in one month, from concept to perfect LED playback, while mastering clients’ hardware constraints.
